For research in the Biotechnology Program, a broad and advanced structure is available for graduate students to perform their research. Facilities include the Laboratory for Research and Development in Biotechnology, which contributes for research in many areas of Biotechnology. It includes Molecular Biology, Physical and Chemical Quality Control and Microbiology laboratories. Additionally, there are available for research an experimental animal facility and center for experimental surgical research. Also, laboratories such as Industrial Biotechnology, Water Quality Analysis, Analytical I and II, Cell Culture, Unitary Analyses and Operations, Plant Growth Facility, Microscopy, Histology and Image Analyses, as well as multidisciplinary laboratories of Biochemistry, Genetics and Molecular Biology, Cytology, Immunology, Pathology, Hematology and Toxicology.
