Works at the academy since 2010. Since 2018, she has worked in the fields of knowledge in Strategy and Marketing at the Business School and the PPGA at Universidade Positivo, Curitiba, Paraná. Before 2010, she has worked as a market-related professional in organizations in the areas of Strategy, Branding, and Marketing (multinational, franchiser, distributor, NGOs, university, language school, and consulting).
She has a postdoctoral research study at the Faculty of Economics, Administration and Accounting (FEA-RP) at the University of São Paulo, Brazil, with a scholarship funded by the Foundation for Research Support of the State of São Paulo (FAPESP). She obtained a Ph.D. from Leeds Business School, England, granted with a scholarship funded as a full doctorate from CAPES, with a diploma revalidated as a Doctor in Organizational Administration from the University of São Paulo. Master’s Degree in Administration from FEA-RP, University of São Paulo. Specialization in Strategic Business Management from Fundação Armando Álves Penteado – FAAP, Ribeirão Preto Unit, SP. She attended a semester of Master’s in Communications at Grand Valley State University in Michigan, United States of America. Has been conferred a degree in Social Communication from PUC Campinas, São Paulo, Brazil. She completed her third year of high school – Senior Year at Lyman High School, FL, United States of America.
She was the Founder and President of the Brazilian Culture Society – Leeds, England, in 2016. She had participations and research presentations about Brazil in international congresses in England (London: Imperial College, Kings College, London School of Economics; London College of Communication and in the Universities of Oxford, Cambridge, Leeds, Liverpool, and Manchester); also in other countries, such as Ireland, Greece, Norway, Denmark, Poland, Germany, and the United States of America. In Brazil, she participates as a thematic coordinator and evaluator in congresses: EMA, EnANPAD, and EPEAD-PR; an appraiser at 3 Es, EMA, EnANPAD, SemeAD and ENANGRAD, Academy of Management, EMAC, and AIB. She has authored and reviewed papers for national and international journals since 2013.
Starting in 2021, she is the founder and track leader of the theme of interest – Theme 18: Place Branding – at EMA and EnANPAD.
She researches the following thematic axes: organizational strategy, internationalization, sustainable business model, value creation, and branding.
Assistant Professor at Universidade Positivo (UP) and Visiting Scientist at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Environmental Solutions Initiative (MIT ESI). At UP Prof. Loomis lectures in the Graduate Program in Environmental Management (PPGAMB), the Graduate Program in Business Administration (PPGA), and the graduate level Business School. Research topics include: environmental impact assessment (EIA), ecosystem services, and circular economy. At MIT ESI he worked collaboratively to develop the white paper “Protecting and Enhancing Natural Carbon Sinks: Natural climate and community solutions (NCCS)” as part of MIT’s Climate Grand Challenge. The project involves technologically enhanced community driven tropical forest monitoring and bioeconomy business model co-creation in Latin America, Africa, and Southeast Asia.
