Professor of the Master´s Program in Clinical Dentistry

He holds a degree in Dentistry from the Federal University of Paraná (1992) having received the Nilo Cairo award for obtaining the highest average in the class. He holds a Master’s degree in Orthodontics from the Metodist University of São Paulo (1996) and a Doctorate in Orthodontics from the Faculty of Dentistry of Bauru – USP (2001).

He is currently full professor at Positivo University working in undergraduate, specialization, master’s and doctorate courses. Coordinates the Specialization Course in Orthodontics and the Class II Treatment Course with Fixed Mandibular Thrusters at Positivo University. He is a Full Professor at the Federal University of Paraná. He is Scientific Director of ortho science and practice, and reviewer of the magazines Angle Orthodontist, European Journal of Orthodontics, Orthodontics SPO, Dental Press Journal of Orthodontics, Brazilian Dental Journal, Brazilian Journal of Oral Sciences and Revista Sul Brasileira de Odontologia.

He has experience in dentistry, with emphasis on Orthodontics, working mainly on the following topics: Class II malocclusion, Herbst apparatus, fixed mandibular thrusters, relapse, facial aesthetics and Lingual Orthodontics. He is former president of the Paraná Association of Orthodontics and the Brazilian Group of Orthodontics and Pediatric Dentistry Teachers.

Bianca Lopes Cavalcante de Leão

Professor of the Master´s Program in Clinical Dentistry

She holds a degree in Dentistry (2000-2004), a specialization in TMD and Orofacial Pain (2005-2007), a Master’s in Dentistry (Child and Adolescent Health) from the Federal University of Paraná (2012-2014), and a Ph.D. in Communication Disorders (UTP-Pr).

As a researcher, her primary focus areas include Temporomandibular Dysfunction (TMD) and Orofacial Pain, Bruxism, Sleep Disorders, systemic changes related to the presence of orofacial pain, and bone alterations observed through trabecular bone analysis. She is currently a Professor in the Undergraduate Dentistry programs and a permanent faculty member of the Master’s and Ph.D. Postgraduate Program at Universidade Positivo.

Carlos Eduardo Edwards Rezende

Professor of the Master´s Program in Clinical Dentistry

She holds a degree in Dentistry from the University of São Paulo (2004), a Master’s in Implant Dentistry from the University of Santo Amaro (2010), and a Ph.D. in Applied Dental Sciences – with a focus on Oral Rehabilitation – from FOB/USP (2015).

She previously taught in continuing education and specialization courses in implant dentistry at the Brazilian Dental Association – ABC Section. Currently, she is a Professor in the Undergraduate Dentistry program, the Specialization in Dental Prosthetics, the Specialization in Implant Dentistry, and the Advanced Training in Dental Prosthetics programs at Universidade Positivo.

Carolina Dea Bruzamolin

Collaborating Professor of the Professional Master’s in Clinical Dentistry

She holds a degree in Dentistry from PUCPR (2006), a specialization in Pediatric Dentistry from PUCPR (2009), a specialization in Collective Health from UP (2014), and a specialization in Integrative and Complementary Therapies in Health from UP (2021). She was a scientist and a member of Professor Yu Zhang’s team at New York University from 2016-2019. She completed her postdoctoral fellowship (2016) in the Postgraduate Program in Materials Science and Engineering at the Federal University of Pelotas – PPGO/UFPel (PNPD – CAPES Scholar).
