    DDS (1999), MSc (Molecular and Cell Biology, 2001) and PhD (Biotechnological Processess, 2005), Specialized in Public Health (2009) and Implantology (2012). Full Professor at the Positivo University, Partner, Technical Director and Senior Researcher at the Curityba Biotech (2006) and dental surgeon at Zielak Odontologia. Experienced in Biotechnology and Dentistry, acting on the following subjects: dental clinics, implantology, biomaterials, histology and innovation in health.

  • Ligia Alves da Costa Cardoso

    Professor of the Graduate Program in Industrial Biotechnology

    Graduated in Engenharia de Alimentos from Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (2003), master’s in Génie des Procédés Biotechnologiques et Alimentair from Institut National Polytechnique de Lorraine (2004) and PhD in Génie des Procédés Biotechnologiques et Alimentair from Institut National Polytechnique de Lorraine (2008). Professor Ligia Cardoso has experience in Science and Technology of the Food, focusing on Food Engineering.

  • Marcelo de Paula Loureiro

    Professor of the Graduate Program in Industrial Biotechnology

    Graduated in Medicine at Federal University of Paraná (1995), completed the Medical Residency program in General Surgery at the Hospital Nossa Senhora das Graças in Curitiba in 1997, specialized in Laparoscopic Surgery at the University of Bordeaux II (1998) and during the same period was a fellow of the European Institute of Laparoscopic Surgery (Hospital Talence – Bordeaux). Professor Marcelo Loureiro holds a Master in Principles of Surgery from FEMPAR (2003) and held a post-doctoral period at the Bariatric Surgery Service Hôpital Saint Eloi (Montpellier – France) in 2014. 

    He is a member of specialty societies in the surgical field. He is a full member of the Brazilian Society of Laparoscopic Surgery (SOBRACIL) of which he was president of the SUL region for two consecutive terms, having also been president of the Paraná chapter. He is a full member of the Brazilian College of Surgeons (CBC). He is a full member of the Brazilian Society of Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery (SBCBM) and of the Brazilian Society of Hernia. He is a member of the European Association of Endoscopic Surgery (EAES), the American Hernia Society (AHS), the International Federation of Surgery of Obesity (IFSO). He is a member of the Societé Française de Chirurgie Endoscopique (the SFCE) of which he has served on the advisory board. Founder of the Jacques Perissat Institute, Training Center in Minimally Invasive Surgery, of which he has been general director since its foundation in 2004, and where he has also been working, since then as a professor. 

    He works as a professor and researcher at the Professional Masters and Doctorate in Biotechnology at Universidade Positivo, where, in addition to advising masters and doctoral students, he also coordinates the disciplines of Biomaterials and Entrepreneurship. Responsible for research lines in Medical Innovation, Surgical Education and Experimentation in Obesity and Metabolic Disorders Responsible for the Digestive Surgery Service at Hospital INC de Curitiba. He has been working for 21 years as a digestive tract surgeon, with an emphasis on Gastroenterological Surgery, Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery (obesity), Surgery for hernias in the abdominal wall and surgery for hyperhidrosis. Author of book and scientific articles in the areas of digestive surgery, surgical education and medical innovation.

  • Márcia Regina Pincerati

    Professor of the Graduate Program in Industrial Biotechnology

    Graduated in Biological Sciences at Federal University of Paraná (2003), Masters in Genetics at the Federal University of Paraná (2006) and PhD in Genetics at the University of São Paulo (2011). Professor Márcia Pincerati is currently Professor at Universidade Positivo (Curitiba, PR) and has experience in Genetics and Molecular Biology, with an emphasis on Human and Medical Genetics, working mainly on the following topics: pemphigus, autoimmunity, immunogenetics, genetic polymorphism, natural selection, Amerindian populations, molecular neuroscience.

  • Maura Harumi Sugai Guérios

    Professor of the Graduate Program in Industrial Biotechnology

    Graduated in Bioprocess Engineering and Biotecnology at Universidade Federal do Paraná, has a master’s in Chemical Engineering from Universidade Federal do Paraná and a doctorate in Chemical Engineering from Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, with an internship at VTT in Finland. Post-doctoral positions in Sciences-Biochemistry and in Chemical Engineering at Universidade Federal do Paraná. At present, professor Maura Sugai-Guerios is a professor at the Postgraduate Program in Industrial Biotecnology from Universidade Positivo. Experiences include microbiology, fermentative processes and mathematical modeling.

  • Thais Andrade Costa Casagrande

    Professor of the Graduate Program in Industrial Biotechnology

    Graduated in Veterinary Medicine at Universidade Federal do Paraná (2003) and doctorate at Veterinary Medicine at Universidade de São Paulo (2010). Professor Thais Casagrande has experience in Veterinary Medicine, focusing on Animal Surgical Clinic.
